Choosing a Signet Ring Face Size

By Burtay Eray Dinçel ·

The face is the top surface that carries the initials or design. Ring size describes the fit around your finger. Choosing a larger face does not change your US ring size.

Choose finger size separately

Select your US ring size in the ring-size field. Use the ring size guide or printable ring sizer to check the fit. Do not use a face dimension as your finger measurement.

Compare the actual dimensions

Small, Medium and Large are labels within a particular ring design. They are not universal measurements across oval, square and other shapes. Read the dimensions on the specific product page. If dimensions are missing, ask us before ordering.

Consider the artwork

A single initial and a detailed family crest need different layouts. More space can help separate small details, but the design proof is the place to confirm what remains readable. Do not assume every detail in a large drawing can be reproduced at ring scale.

Consider the appearance on your hand

Review the product photographs and any available on-hand views. Compare the stated face measurements with a ring you already own. Perspective in a photograph can change how large the face appears.

Before approving production

Check the selected face size, US ring size, material and design proof together. Available face sizes depend on the chosen product and material.
