The options are 925 sterling silver, gold plated, rose gold plated, platinum plated, gold filled, gold vermeil, and solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold. Plated, gold filled and vermeil finishes wear with daily use, over months to years. Solid 10K, 14K and 18K gold resists wear and tarnish better. On silver, the dark oxidized finish lightens with wear, mostly on the raised areas, so the contrast softens over time.

What is an oxidized silver ring?

Oxidized silver has been darkened on purpose to bring out texture. On this band the dark tone sits in the recesses. It lightens gradually with wear, mainly on the raised areas, so the ring slowly develops a worn-in look.

Will the oxidized finish on this band wear off?

Partly. The dark finish lightens with wear on the high points while staying in the recesses, so the contrast softens over months. It is a natural change, and the sterling silver underneath is not affected.

Can I return this textured band if I change my mind?
